Time passes quickly and quietly by each day until we reach one of those special milestones then it stops us in our tracks in remembrance. Today was one such day. It has been a year since we lost our dear friend Wendy.

She had one of those never-ending smiles that would light up your day. Always a kind word, even when she wasn’t feeling so great. Her sense of humor and wonder for this crazy world were contagious.

We were privileged to spend some time with Wendy and her sweet daughter Moira one crisp fall afternoon. She never let on how bad she felt, smiling through every pose and moving readily to each location.

They had two special requests—one of a pose with the squished up faces (what Wendy showed Moira’s dad when he asked what their new baby looked like!) and a pose of Wendy tossing her wig in defiance of cancer. Little did we know she would be gone a few days later.

Thank you for the sweet memories…..until we meet again.
