Getting to know the missionaries who serve here is one of the great pleasures of living in Nauvoo. We met this wonderful couple at the beginning of their 6-month mission and seemed to run into one another at every turn. During those brief interludes, we discovered this special couple to be highly talented, full of life and their never-ending smiles are contagious.

In today’s day and age, longevity in marriage has become a rarity, especially 50 years together. We were honored to be asked to capture this milestone in portrait.  Could there be a better place to celebrate a Golden Anniversary than being here in the City of Joseph serving Father in Heaven?

To Elder and Sister Bashaw: What a special couple you are! And what a special place to celebrate your 50^th wedding anniversary. You have been an inspiration to us as we observed just how much you love one another after so many years together. We had the feeling from seeing you together that your love will continue to flourish throughout time and all eternity. Thanks for sharing with us such a milestone in your life’s journey together.

We already miss you in Nauvoo. Thanks for your service and here’s to many more happy years together. Happy Anniversary!!
